14-Day judicial custody for Saurabh, Sharad, and Chetan

  • ED probe reveals key connections

Bhopal,  The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday presented Saurabh Sharma, Chetan Singh Gaur, and Sharad Jaiswal in court after their remand ended. The court has sent all three to 14-day judicial custody as the probe into their financial dealings deepens.

How Rohit Tiwari brought Saurabh and Sharad together

Investigations have uncovered that Jabalpur-based builder Rohit Tiwari played a crucial role in linking Saurabh Sharma, a former RTO constable-turned-multi-crore property dealer, with Sharad Jaiswal, his most trusted associate.

The connection dates back to 2014-15, when a Bhopal-based real estate firm launched its first Jabalpur project, with Sharad handling sales. By 2015-16, Sharad exited the firm and began seeking investors for Rohit Tiwari. Later, he diversified into the restaurant business, launching Fagito in Chuna Bhatti. It was during this time that Rohit introduced him to Saurabh—marking the start of a lucrative partnership.

With Sharad’s expertise, Saurabh acquired multiple high-value properties in Bhopal and Indore, further expanding his influence.

Sharad’s rise in the real estate world

Sharad’s journey began in 2011 as a real estate broker in Bhopal’s Number 10 Market, leading a 10-member team in a 50-employee firm. By 2014, he played a key role in the firm’s Jabalpur expansion, leveraging his contacts to sell multiple plots. His brother-in-law, Rohit Tiwari, joined the project for local support, strengthening their bond.

Rohit later secured large contracts for Sharad, including interior designing and construction projects. The turning point came when Sharad renovated Saurabh Sharma’s bungalow in Arera Colony—a connection that would eventually surface in the ED’s financial probe.
