Start gender equality from home: DGP
On the closing occasion, DGP Kailash Makwana said that women empowerment and commitment towards gender equality is a very relevant and important topic. Today, when we are discussing this topic, it is important to remember that 40-45 years ago the reporting of such incidents was very low, which seems surprising compared to today. Internet and technological development have connected the whole world together, but along with its positive results, many of its negative effects are also seen. Today, pornographic material available on the Internet, unfortunately, is easily circulated even in mobile devices. This has an adverse effect on persons with a distorted mindset, which brings negative changes in their thinking towards women and girls, he said.
