Bhopal: A sensational case of Rs 16 lakh being withdrawn from the account of a 99-year-old woman living in Bajaria area of ??the capital has come to light. The victim woman is the wife of a freedom fighter, who receives pension from the government. A postman of the post office had stolen the woman’s cheque. He forged the signature on the cheque and withdrew the amount by putting the cheque in the account of his friend. The postman took Rs 7 lakh and the friend took Rs 9 lakh. The police have registered a case and arrested both of them with the help of the cyber crime branch. The accused have been taken on remand for questioning after being produced in the court.
According to the information, Kundan Pawar (39), who lives in Chandbad in front of the post office, had complained to the police about this matter. He told in the complaint that his 99-year-old grandmother Gangabai Pawar is the wife of a freedom fighter. She gets a pension of 25 thousand rupees per month from the government.
This pension comes in the account of State Bank of India located in Chandbad. After withdrawing her pension, the grandmother deposits the amount left from the money for household expenses in the savings account of sub post office Chandbad. She had got a cheque book issued from the post office. Someone has withdrawn five cheques from this cheque book. A total of 16 lakh rupees has been withdrawn in four times through these cheques. This money has been deposited in the account of someone named Ajay Kumar Jain in the post office located in Central TT Nagar, whom she does not know.

4 people including a couple injured in road accident
Four people including a couple were seriously injured in road accidents in Jahangirabad and Khajuri Road area. Police have registered a case against the drivers who hit them. According to the police, Abdul Shami (55) lives in Sonia Gandhi Colony Aishbagh and is a farmer. On Wednesday afternoon at around 1.30 pm, he was going home from MP Nagar to Aishbagh on a motorcycle with his wife Shazia Begum. When they reached near Hyundai showroom in Jahangirabad, a speeding bike rider coming from behind hit their motorcycle. As soon as the collision took place, the couple along with the bike fell on the road and got injured. The seriously injured woman has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment, while the husband has been discharged from the hospital. Police have registered a case against the bike driver who hit them.
Here, two brothers riding a Bullet were seriously injured after being hit by a bike in Khajuri Road area. Police said that Jatin Kshatriya (24) is a resident of Tamia district Chhindwara and runs a bike showroom in Chhindwara. On November 18, he was going from Chhindwara to Indore on a Bullet bike with his younger brother Chetan Kshatriya. At around 9:15 pm, both the brothers reached near village Phanda Tumda Jod on Bhopal Indore road on Khajuri Road, when a motorcyclist hit their Bullet from the side. As soon as the collision took place, both the brothers fell on the road and got injured. He was admitted to a private hospital for treatment. Seriously injured Chetan’s condition did not improve and he was admitted to a private hospital in Nagpur for treatment. Jatin came to Bhopal from Nagpur and filed a report of the accident on Wednesday.

2 women sexually abused on promise of marriage
A case of physical exploitation of a divorced woman living in Jahangirabad area of ??the capital and a young woman living in Ashoka Garden area by luring them with marriage has come to light. Police have registered cases in both the cases and have started efforts to arrest the accused. According to the police, the 36-year-old woman living in Jahangirabad got divorced from her husband about fourteen years ago. After that the woman started living separately and works at a boutique. During this time she met a young man named Basik. He used to help the woman with small things. When the woman started trusting him, Basik proposed marriage to the woman and started sexually exploiting her.
He had been exploiting the woman for about eight years. Whenever the victim talked about marriage, he used to avoid it by making some excuse or the other. Recently the woman came to know that Basik has married another young woman. After that she went to the police station and registered a case of rape against him. Young man exploited the girl.
In another case, a 25 year old girl living in Ashoka Garden is basically from Chhindwara. She works in a private job. About two years ago, she met a young man named Abhishek who lived in the neighborhood. Later, both of them became close friends. During this time, Abhishek expressed his desire to marry the girl and started exploiting her physically. Recently, when the girl pressurized him for marriage, Abhishek flatly refused to marry her. After that, the victim went to the police station and registered a case of rape against him.
