- Will promote the heritage trail of Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal. 25 women riders from all over the country left from Bhopal on Tuesday to travel 1400 km by bike. They will promote the heritage trail of Madhya Pradesh while riding the bike. The second edition of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board’s ‘Queen on the Wheels’ was started on Tuesday morning at 9 am from Hotel Wins and Waves located at Boat Club.
Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Ilaiya Raja T. flagged off the ride. He said that various tourist places and hotels, resorts, home-stays, cafes, art and craft of the Tourism Board are being run by women. Which will be promoted through the said women bike tour. Till March 10, women riders will go to different tourist places of the state and promote the heritage trail. The closing ceremony will be held on March 10 at Kerwa Resort Bhopal.
Women riders came from Mumbai, Dehradun
In this ride, 7 women from Madhya Pradesh and 18 women from other states are participating. They are from cities like Nagpur, Mumbai, Dehradun, Sambhaji Nagar, Bangalore, Delhi, Rajasthan, Indore, Dewas, Bhopal, Ujjain etc. Women bikers will experience the world heritage Sanchi Stupa, caves of Udayagiri, the country’s first craft handloom tourism village and handloom cafe developed at Pranpur near Chanderi.
When and where will the women riders reach
They went to Sanchi and Chanderi on 4th March
They will go to Gwalior on 5-6th March
They will go to Mitawali, Padavali, Datia and Orchha on 7th March
They will go to Khajuraho on 8th March
They will go to Chhatarpur, Sagar, Sanchi and Udaygiri on 9th March
They will come to Bhopal via Bhojpur, Bhimbetka on 10th March.
