Mahila Congress President Vibha Patel has said that girls and women are now feeling unsafe in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh is becoming the country’s capital in terms of crimes against women. 28,857 women and 2,944 girls have gone missing between 2021 and 2024 under the rule of the BJP government. Only 724 missing cases have been registered.

She alleged that the Yadav government’s claim of women’s respect and women’s safety is hollow. The latest example of this is the four college girls who went missing from Damoh on Monday.

The police have not been able to find them till now. This exposes the reality of the system is efficient and proper. Patel said that the working style of Damoh police shows that the police are registering cases of missing girls, but its action in the name of searching is just a drama. Vibha Patel said that the state government may be trumpeting about women safety in the state, but the reality is far from the claims of the government.

If the situation remains the same, then girls, women will be forced to stop going out of their homes.

Patel said that Madhya Pradesh has become the country’s capital in crimes against women. 214 women are missing in Gwalior, but the police have registered only 3 cases. 479 women are missing in Indore, but only 15 cases, 676 women are missing in Ujjain in 34 months, yet not a single case has been registered with the police. 2,384 women are missing in Indore, but only 15 cases have been registered. He said that the government had told the state assembly that 626 women and 184 girls are missing from Bhopal, 468 women and 129 girls from Gwalior and 697 women and 199 girls from Jabalpur. Mahila Congress will not remain silent until concrete action is taken in this matter. It will come on the streets and protest against the government.
