- Blaze Titan bags title, BSSS runners up
Bhopal: In the last 19 years, the Department of Physical Education at BSSS College has continuously organized sports, cycling and adventure activities. These initiatives are aimed at fostering the leadership skills of the students and their overall development. The commitment of the college to promote these activities reflects its dedication to providing a holistic learning experience to the students beyond the classroom.
These days 38 colleges of the city participate in the Inter Collegiate Football Tournament, in which the final winner was Blaze Titan and Runner up BSSS.
On this occasion, Praveen Sapkal was the chief guest in Madhya Pradesh’s first iron.
From sports competitions to quizzes and even a marathon, the Department of Physical Education organizes events to celebrate National Sports Day.
More than 300 students enthusiastically participated in the 2 Km for women and 5 Km for men marathon at 6 am. Winners Boys – Rupesh Uikey – First, Piyush Thapa – Second and Ajit Kumar yadav – Third and in Girls category – Tanvi Dadave – First, Samridhi Shukla – Second and Ankita Singh – Third.
Inter college quiz competition was also organized in which 5 colleges participated. The winner among these was Bhagat Singh team, BPES-BSSS ( Ramkrishn Soni, Akansh Garg, Sarah Hayat khan and Amitabh Shukla were participating. The students of the Department of Physical Education celebrated Neeraj Chopra’s gold medal in Javelin in the World Athletics Championship.
The principal of the college, Dr. Father John PJ, along with chief guest Rakesh Sharma honored all the winners with trophies, medals and certificates. Principal Dr. John exhorted the staff and students of BSSS to come in sportswear and congratulated the college family for their excellent performance and said that such events promote physical fitness, teamwork and intellectual connection among the participants.
