5.4-magnitude quake hits New Ireland Region, Papua New Guinea – GFZ

Hong Kong, Sep 29 (UNI) An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 hit New Ireland Region, Papua New Guinea at 0119 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 96.6 km, was initially determined to be at 4.59 degrees south latitude and 153.12 degrees east longitude.
