5.5-magnitude quake hits Papua New Guinea

Port Moresby, Jan 27 (UNI) An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted 135 km E of Madang, Papua New Guinea at 0215 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 215.9 km, was initially determined to be at 5.44 degrees south latitude and 146.99 degrees east longitude.
