6.3-magnitude quake hits 170 km SW of Lorengau, Papua New Guinea: USGS

New York, Sep 12 (UNI) An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 jolted 170 km SW of Lorengau, Papua New Guinea, at 16:46:04 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 3.27 degrees south latitude and 146.36 degrees east longitude.
