6.5-magnitude quake hits near the north coast of New Guinea, Papua New Guinea – USGS

Beijing, Nov 28 (UNI) An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted near the north coast of New Guinea, Papua New Guinea at 2146 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 12.3 km, was initially determined to be at 3.56 degrees south latitude and 144.02 degrees east longitude.
