Frankfurt, Nov 4 (UNI) Nine people were detained at a pro-Palestinian demonstration in the German city of Frankfurt am Main, and Nazi symbols were confiscated from some protesters, local police said.
According to police, the rally under slogans of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip began in the afternoon and ended after 7 p.m., and was attended by up to 850 people.
Several criminal offenses were recorded on the part of individual participants. Nazi and anti-Israeli posters were seen in the hands of some demonstrators and were confiscated.
“A total of nine people were temporarily detained,” the police said in a statement.
Seven investigations have been launched against individual participants in the rally “on suspicion of inciting hatred.”
