Patna, Sep 23 (UNI) The BJP slammed Congress on Saturday slammed Congress for describing the new parliament building as “Modi Multiplex” and “Modi Marriot”, saying it reflected the anti-democratic mindset of the old party.
Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told the media that people would not forgive Congress for describing the new parliament building as “Modi Multiplex” and “Modi Marriot”. It reflected the anti-democratic mindset of Congress, and the party would have to face its consequences in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he stressed.
Prasad said that Congress leader Jairam Ramesh dared to declare that the new parliament building would be used for different purposes after a change in regime in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Congress would never return to power as people had well understood its anti-democratic attitude, he noted.
The BJP leader said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had done a historic job in ensuring the passage of the women’s reservation bill in parliament, which had been pending for a long time. If Congress, RJD, and JD(U) were so concerned about providing reservation to women from OBC, they should give maximum tickets to them in Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, he further said, adding that they would not do so as their leaders were confined to families only.
Prasad also castigated Congress and its allies for keeping mum on recent derogatory remarks against “Sanatan Dharma”. Attacks on “Sanatan Dharma” would not be tolerated any more, he asserted.
