Chhattisgarh govt tried to hide malnutrition deaths: Modi

Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), Sep 30 (UNI) In a damning indictment of Chhattisgarh’s Bhupesh Baghel dispensation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that he is in possession of reports that numerous children perished owing to malnutrition during Congress rule in this tribal-dominated state.

Addressing the BJP’s Parivartan Mahasankalp Rally in this district headquarters of election-bound Chhattisgarh, the visiting dignitary said, “What can constitute a more abysmal failure of any government?

However, the Congress regime attempted to conceal this gruesome fact as that party’s bigwigs are concerned with the welfare of their own children, not yours. Therefore, they must be exposed.”

After a BJP government assumes the state’s reins, the Cabinet’s maiden decision will be accelerated implementation of housing for the underprivileged, the Prime Minister assured.

“Chhattisgarh’s populace is vexed as a consequence of the Congress dispensation’s atrocities, neck-deep corruption and pathetic governance. In the name of providing employment, only scams are perpetrated. Corruption rules the roost in every scheme.

Over the past five years, the Centre provided thousands of crores to this state for infrastructure development. However, at the state level, work has either ceased or is progressing at an extremely tardy pace. The injustice meted out to the indigent by the Congress is unparalleled.

Ration was prevented from reaching targeted beneficiaries, District Mineral Foundation finances were diverted, a liquor scam took place and one concerning even cow dung! Youths were deceived as were paddy cultivators,” he added.
