Etawah (UP), Oct 7 (UNI) Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that the party was humiliating others by taking the help of the central agencies, Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for the sake of votes.
Talking to the reporters after condoling the demise of Lalaram, father of his personal assistant Vijay Shakya, Akhilesh said that everyone who is in power use institutions like ED, CBI and Income Tax, but BJP has crossed all limits. “They are taking the help of ED, CBI and Income Tax just to get their votes and to humiliate others. When will the investigation be conducted against BJP leaders whose wealth is continuously increasing?,” he said.
He said that SP wants to defeat BJP in the assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh. He said that his party was working in the direction so that Congress should take support from SP and defeat BJP.
The SP chief said that two people lost their lives in a land dispute in Kanpur Dehat. “The government should have seen how many applications were given to the authorities by those who lost their lives in a land dispute,” he said.
He said that the government itself is to be blamed for the Deoria incident. “BJP is doing politics over the issue. BJP has started taking political advantage of the Deoria incident, such incidents will increase, not decrease,” he said.
Akhilesh alleged that the leaders of BJP have become land mafia. On the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh and the raid at the house of SP leader Abu Azmi, he said that investigating agencies like CBI and ED have been used by governments earlier also. “Now BJP is doing the same thing. BJP should also get its leaders investigated,” he said.
