Bhopal: For Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023, postal ballots have been issued electronically to 75 thousand 332 service voters of the state. These include 73 thousand 043 male service voters and 2 thousand 289 female service voters. These postal ballots have been sent to the service voters through the Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot Management System (ETPBMS) of the Election Commission of India. After marking their votes these postal ballot papers will be sent to the Returning Officer by speed post.
2533 candidates will participate in election process
For Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023, 2 thousand 533 candidates will participate in the election process in the state. This includes recognized political parties, unrecognized political parties and independent candidates. In the state, 2280 male candidates, 252 female candidates and one third gender candidate will participate in the election process.
FLC and second randomization of machines will be done in the districts. This action will be taken in the presence of the Returning Officer and the candidates participating in the election process.
It may be noted that the process of submitting nomination papers for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023 started from October 21. Nomination papers were submitted till October 30. The nomination papers were scrutinized on October 31. November 2 was the last date for withdrawal of names. Voting process will be completed in a single phase in the entire state on 17th November and counting of votes will take place on 3rd December.
