Bhopal: Digvijaya Singh, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Congress Rajya Sabha MP, has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of plagiarizing the Congress’ election manifesto ahead of the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly polls. The BJP recently unveiled its manifesto for the state assembly polls scheduled for November 11.
When questioned about the apparent similarities between the BJP and Congress manifestos, Singh stated, “Ask this to those (referring to the BJP) who have stolen our manifesto and inserted it into their own.” Earlier, on Sunday, former CM and state Congress chief Kamal Nath also alleged that the BJP copied the Congress’ manifesto, stating that the BJP released it in the final days of the election and replicated everything.
Nath further claimed that the BJP lacked its own vision and merely imitated the Congress. In contrast, BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya praised the party’s manifesto as “revolutionary,” particularly for farmers, youth, women, and the welfare of the common man and the middle class. He expressed confidence that the manifesto would provide a new direction to the state.
