Narayanpet (Telangana), Nov 26 (UNI) Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah made serious allegations on Sunday, asserting that there exists a covert understanding between the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Congress party, aimed at mutual cooperation to serve their respective interests.
Addressing a public meeting in Makthal, Narayanpet district, Shah claimed, “In the current elections, there is a secret understanding between BRS and Congress. Congress will support BRS, ensuring K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s return as Chief Minister. In return, BRS will back Congress in the Lok Sabha elections, promoting Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister. Any vote cast for Congress will effectively benefit BRS. If you want to oust KCR, vote for BJP. Your vote not only elects your MLA but also shapes the future of Telangana.”
Shah further detailed allegations of corruption during the ten-year rule of BRS, questioning the fulfillment of promises made by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, including the establishment of a 100-bed hospital, a sanctioned degree college, and delivery of unemployment allowances.
“Do you want to remove KCR from the Chief Minister post? There is no guarantee Congress MLAs will stay with the party; they may join BRS. If you vote for Congress, it indirectly supports BRS. If you want to remove BRS, vote for BJP. We will appoint a BC as Chief Minister, provide vertical reservations for Madiga, and offer four free cylinders to women,” Shah declared.
Accusing the BRS of being under the influence of MIM, Shah criticised the Chief Minister for not organising Telangana Liberation Day due to fear of Owaisis.
He promised to officially celebrate Liberation Day on September 17, cancel four percent religion-based reservations for Muslims, and conduct the Prana Pratishta for the Ram Mandir on January 22, facilitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shah and also pledged free travel to Ayodhya after the BJP comes to power in Telangana.
