Sant Hirdaram College commemorates World Fisheries Day

Bhopal: Sant Hirdaram Girls College echoed with enthusiasm as the Department of Zoology marked World Fisheries Day with a series of impactful events dedicated to promoting awareness and responsible practices for preserving aquatic biodiversity.

Ms. PriyaBhojwani’s speech highlighted the integral role fisheries play in maintaining ecological balance, emphasizing the urgency of adopting sustainable practices for a resilient aquatic ecosystem.

A pinnacle of the celebration was the Intercollegiate Poster Making Competition, drawing participation from esteemed institutions across Bhopal, Vidisha, andItarsi. Thirty students showcased their artistic talents, creatively conveying the message of preserving aquatic biodiversity.

Dr. DalimaParwani, the Principal, congratulated the winners, commending their dedication to environmental consciousness. Dr. Madhavi Gaur, the event’s coordinator, expressed gratitude to the college’s Management and Principal, underlining the importance of collective efforts for sustainable practices.

The competition results were unveiled, recognizing Ms. DivyaPrajapati (SHGC) with the First Prize, Ms. AnushreeNamdeo (SHGC) second, Ms. Ayushi Dubey (GovtMVM) third, Ms. MahakRajpal (MGM Govt. PG College) consolation, and Ms. Usha Malviya (SHGC) second consolation.

The event concluded on a positive note, symbolizing a collective commitment to responsible and sustainable fisheries practices. The College Management applauded the Department of Zoology’s commendable efforts, extending best wishes for their future endeavors.
