Washington, Dec 3 (UNI) Addressing voters in Iowa, former US President Donald Trump called his return to politics and run for president the “greatest comeback in history” and a “righteous crusade” against US President Joe Biden.
“It’s going to be the greatest comeback in history — I’m not talking about comeback politically because I don’t care about that — it will be the greatest comeback for a country,” Trump was quoted as saying by The Daily Caller news website.
The “crusade” will “free” the US people from “Biden and the criminals in the Biden administration,” Trump said. The audience greeted his speech with a storm of applause, the report read.
Trump spoke at a rally in Ankeny, Iowa, as it has one of the earliest primary elections – starting on January 15. Iowa is now also the focus of other Republican candidates for the 2024 US President – such as Vivek Ganapathy Ramaswamy. Primary elections will serve for choosing the Republican and Democratic candidates to compete in the 2024 US presidential election.
