Mumbai, Dec 9 (UNI) The ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ has been started in order to make every section of society aware of various schemes of the central and state governments and no one will be deprived of the benefits, said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Saturday.
Through this Yatra, it has been resolved to raise the standard of living of women, youth, farmers, and the needy in India, he said in a press release here.
The aim of the government is to reach the poor and needy citizens of the state by developing Bharat Sankalp Yatra, he said and gave an assurance that the government will try to ensure that no one is deprived of benefits of these schemes.
Farmers are getting seeds, modern implements, electricity & water, timely treatment to patients & medicines, capital for unemployed for starting a business and employment to youths through this Yatra, he claimed.
Ten crore women in rural areas have benefited through various schemes, he further claimed and quoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi who said that it has been resolved to make two crore women millionaires through these schemes in coming years.
On occasion of ‘Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ today, PM Modi interacted with citizens of various places across the country through audio-visual medium, said the Chief Minister in a statement.
PM Modi had a representative interaction with the beneficiaries of various schemes from Karnataka, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar and Gujarat, he said.
From November 15, 2023 to January 26, 2024, the ‘Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ will travel across the country.
Today, residents of Madhav Baugh, Kawasji Patel Marg, ‘C’ ward of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, C P Tank Circle and Bhuleshwar areas were informed of the central and state government-sponsored schemes through this Yatra, Shinde added.
