Wellington, Dec 18 (UNI) New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon said Monday he will travel to Sydney on Wednesday to meet with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
“The coalition government will be engaging internationally with new urgency and intensity to invest in relationships, increase prosperity, and enhance our security,” Luxon said.
Australia is New Zealand’s most important partner, he said, adding that the two countries are deeply connected and have strong people-to-people ties.
“Our two economies are deeply interlinked, and we need greater focus on improving the business environment on both sides of the Tasman,” Luxon said, adding that he will meet with some key New Zealand investors in Sydney.
The discussions he has in Sydney will benefit all people across the trans-Tasman relationship, said Luxon.
