Beed, Dec 22 (UNI) After detection of some patients infected with new corona JN-1 variant in Maharashtra, collector Deepa Mudhol-Munde on Friday urged citizens to take care without getting panicked and break the chain of the virus to prevent its spread.
In this regard, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday had reviewed situation in the state with all the district collectors via video conferencing and suggested them to take preventive measures to stop the spread of virus.
She said that following this, a circular has been issued by administration on what precautions to be taken by citizens to avoid spread of infection in the district.
As per the circular, citizens have been advised to avoid going out in crowded places, use mask in crowded places or while travelling, wash hands with soap frequently, not to touch any surfaces in public places, cover one’s nose with a handkerchief or mask while coughing or sneezing, use hand sanitizer, do not spit in public places, consult physician immediately on noticing symptoms like cold, fever, cough etc., and maintain distance at public places and social gatherings, it added.
