Agartala, Dec 29 (UNI) The winter session of 12th Tripura assembly is set to begin on January 5 for five days which will introduce two important bills, parliamentary affairs minister Ratan Lal Nath said here on Friday.
He said the Business Advisory Committee headed by Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen was held on Thursday and resolved to host a five-day session to be concluded on January 11 next. The session will begin with the customary address of Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu.
According to government business, the session could be concluded within three days, but to allow the members to discuss development issues and provide more time and scope for discussion on the Governor’s speech, it has been extended for two more days, Nath stated.
The government is set to introduce two crucial bills during the session – the Tripura State Rifle Fourth Amendment Bill and the Tripura State Goods and Services Tax Seventh Amendment Bill besides, question hours, reference, and discussion on short notice.
