Sun makes brief appearance in Bhopal, Indore
Bhopal: The persistent cold wave in the state has impacted daily life for the past seven days, with a notable change in weather conditions. Bhopal and Indore saw the Sun make a brief appearance on Monday after four cloudy days, though it was subdued and faint. Monday morning in Bhopal was characterized by chilly weather, accompanied by dense fog that limited visibility to 10 meters.
Similar cold weather conditions are being experienced in various cities, including Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Raisen, and Ujjain. The weather department predicts a likelihood of frost in the Malwa region and surrounding areas over the next two days.
Monday witnessed a combination of rain and fog, accompanied by cold winds. Bhopal, recording a daytime temperature of 17.5 degrees Celsius, emerged as the second coldest city in the state. Raisen recorded a maximum temperature of 17.8 degrees, while Guna registered 18.8 degrees. The misty and foggy conditions affected visibility across the state, causing inconvenience to residents.
Trough Line Affects MP Weather
Meteorologist Sahu clarified that a cyclonic circulation system is currently situated over northern Uttar Pradesh, with another cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan. Additionally, a trough line extending from Gujarat to Uttar Pradesh is influencing weather patterns in Madhya Pradesh, resulting in fog, rain, and cold winds. This active system is expected to persist in the Malwa region and surrounding areas for the next two days. A western disturbance is anticipated to become active again from January 8 to 12, bringing with it fog and light rain.
According to the weather department, Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 17.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday, solidifying its position as the second coldest city.
