Bhopal: Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has said that as per the election programme of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, after the process of withdrawal of nomination papers filed for the second phase, now 88 candidates are finally in the fray. On the last day of withdrawal of nominations, 5 candidates withdrew their nomination papers.
Rajan told that affidavits and other information of these candidates can be seen on the website of Election Commission of India link https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/. Voting for the second phase will take place on Friday, April 26. Counting of votes will take place on June 4. It is noteworthy that on April 9, 1 candidate in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency Tikamgarh (SC), 2 in Damoh, 1 in Satna and 1 candidate in Betul (ST) have withdrawn their nomination papers.
