New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Sony MAX 2 completed a decade of showcasing timeless Indian films in May. “This milestone reaffirms the channel’s commitment to preserving and celebrating the golden age of Bollywood,” a release from the channel said.
Sony MAX 2’s curated content includes “evergreen movies” featuring legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, and many more. The channel caters to the discerning tastes of cinema enthusiasts, offering a nostalgic journey through iconic classics.
Some of the all-time favourites of the channel are “Sooryavansham”, cult classic “Shaan,” besides “Satte Pe Satta,” and “Sadak”.
Reflecting on the channel’s 10-year journey, prominent Bollywood and television personalities shared their memories.
Mahesh Thakur, known for his roles in both Bollywood blockbusters and television dramas, reminisced about the timeless charm of “Sita aur Gita” and “Sooryavansham,” which have become family favorites.
Anjali Tatrari, acclaimed for her roles in Sony SAB’s “Vanshaj,” fondly recalled bonding with her family over movies on Sony MAX 2, creating cherished memories during holidays and weekends.
Karan Mehra, from Sony Entertainment Television’s “Mehndi Wala Ghar,” expressed his love for classic films like “Satte Pe Satta” and “Yaarana,” emphasising their timeless appeal and significance across generations.
Vibha Chibber, a veteran actor seen in “Mehndi Wala Ghar,” praised Sony MAX 2 for rekindling the joy of watching Hindi classics with her family, underscoring the channel’s role in bringing loved ones together over shared cinematic experiences.
