- Electricity company waiting for big accident, responsible are silent
Kavita Singh Rathore, Bhopal
In the rainy season, the tangle of electric wires in the capital has become a life risk for the people. In the area, the wires have been fixed at a low height on the transformer, meter box and poles, which are within the reach of the people.
There is often a possibility of an accident due to this, but till now the officials of the electricity department are unaware of the tangle of wires spread on the roads.
Many times, incidents of electric shock have also come to the fore. These wires spread on the road are not only dangerous for humans but also for animals. Humans can walk carefully, but how will animals avoid such a tangle of wires? This is a big question. If a human or animal dies due to electric shock due to these wires in the rain, who will be responsible? Why don’t the responsible people make any kind of security cover for this.
In Sarvdharm Colony of Kolar, which is considered a posh area with a large population in Bhopal, wires are scattered on the side of the road. The same situation is in Durgesh Vihar along with some posh residential areas of old Bhopal. Here, electricity poles are bent on the streets and roads and the wires are touching the ground.
However, this kind of negligence has come to light from some selected places. While the network of electricity cables on the transformer can be seen in many areas. Most of the cable wires visible in these are bare. Due to the low height, even a child can easily touch it. How will animals notice such things? At many places, the connections coming out of the transformer and supplying electricity further are also at a height of two to three feet.
The earthing wires taken from the ground have also been left open. The risk of accident due to coming in contact with these wires has increased further in the rain.
Dharmjeet, who lives in Durgesh Vihar, says that, I mostly go on foot. In such a situation, one has to be very cautious and in the rain, sometimes going on this road is not free from danger.

Pramod Sapre, who lives in Sarvadharma Colony, says that here the electric wires are lying on the road itself. In such a situation, if someone unknowingly steps on it, a big accident can happen. The electricity company should take care of this from time to time.

We have given orders to the officials to solve the problem of these wires coming out of transformers or electricity poles. Work is being done at all places one by one.
