Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has encouraged Ladli sisters to refrain from unnecessary spending. He emphasized that on the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan, all sisters should commit to reducing extraneous expenses within their families. He advised against lavish expenditures on rituals such as the thirteenth day ceremonies and death feasts, and urged that marriages be conducted simply.
Dr. Yadav highlighted the concerning trend of families taking loans or selling property to fund these activities, stressing the importance of raising awareness to prevent such situations. He advocated for discouraging extravagant practices and suggested that families consider participating in mass marriage programs to save resources. The Chief Minister emphasized that family funds should be prioritized for the education of children and the overall improvement of the family’s well-being.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the Rani Durgavati Mahila Sarpanch Sammelan and Rakshabandhan program at the CM House on Friday. During this, the Chief Minister said that it is the sentiment and commitment of the state government to provide the benefits of all the government schemes to the poorest of the poor sisters through women empowerment. The Council of Ministers has decided to celebrate Rakshabandhan festival, a symbol of respect and affection for sisters, with full enthusiasm. Programs will be held on August 10 at 25 thousand places across the state and with a single click, Rs 1250 and Rs 250 shagun of Rakshabandhan will be released separately in the accounts of Ladli sisters. No scheme will be stopped by the state government, but all the schemes and programs that have been said in the Sankalp Patra will be implemented.
Women Sarpanch welcomed the Chief Minister
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the program by performing Kanya-Pujan and lighting the lamp. On his arrival at the program venue, women Sarpanch welcomed him by showering flowers with auspicious songs. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented many schemes and programs to make the lives of sisters easy and happy. In this sequence, Prime Minister Ujjwala gas connections were provided with the aim of providing LPG facility to every household. The state government has announced to provide gas cylinders for Rs 450 to Ladli sisters and those who have Ujjwala connections. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while wishing Nag Panchami, asked the sisters to make the life of the sisters easy and prosperous during the month of Sawan.
Women Sarpanchs tied Rakhi to CM
Sisters from various districts of the state presented 40 feet long Rakhi to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Sisters also tied separate Rakhis to Chief Minister Bhaiya Dr. Yadav, on which the Chief Minister also presented gifts to the sisters as a token of good luck.
