New Delhi, Aug 15 (UNI) The government on Thursday appointed the 1992 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Nalin Prabhat as Special Director General of Police in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Union Home Ministry in an order issued today said, “Consequent upon joining the AGMUT Cadre on Inter-cadre deputation from Andhra Pradesh Cadre, Nalin Prabhat, IPS (AP:1992) is hereby posted to Jammu & Kashmir as Special Director General (SDG), Jammu & Kashmir Police with immediate effect and till 30.09.2024.”
The order further said that after the retirement of Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police, RR Swain on September 30, Nalin Prabhat will be appointed as Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police from October 1.
His appointment to this post will remain till further orders, the order added.
