- Cyber fraudsters are sending messages on WhatsApp groups
Bhopal: Cyber ??Crime Branch Bhopal has advised not to install the app made in the name of Madhya Pradesh Police to avoid cyber fraud. Downloading and installing this type of application file in mobile can lead to fraud. Actually, since Wednesday morning, a message is being sent on people’s WhatsApp, in which it was advised to install the Madhya Pradesh Police app. When this information reached the officials, they immediately issued an advisory and appealed to the public not to do so. Cyber ??Crime Branch said that unknown persons are sharing the Madhya Pradesh Police app (APK) file in WhatsApp groups. This app has not been released by Madhya Pradesh Police. Downloading such apps can make one a victim of cyber fraud. Cyber ??Crime Branch has appealed not to download apps from unknown sources shared on social media or messaging apps. Apps should be downloaded only from official sources.
A dozen two-wheelers stolen including electric rickshaw
A dozen two-wheelers including an electric rickshaw were stolen from different places in the last 24 hours. Police have registered a case against unknown thieves in all the cases, but no clue has been found about the accused in any of the incidents. According to the information, the electric rickshaw parked in front of the house of Pushpabai, who lives in Navjeevan Colony under Chhola Mandir police station, was stolen. Even after searching around, when the rickshaw could not be found, she went to the police station and lodged a report of theft. In the same area, Vikas Chandal’s motorcycle parked near the Municipal Corporation office was stolen. Here, Opendra Singh’s Pulsar bike parked in front of Vardhman Plaza under Hanumanganj police station was stolen. Opendra Singh works as an MR in a pharmaceutical company. He had parked the bike and gone to a medical shop. When he returned after some time, the bike was missing. Police have registered a case against unknown thieves in all the cases.
Businessman’s body recovered from pond
Kohefija police recovered the businessman’s body from the big pond near Karbala Pump House on Wednesday. A day before, on Tuesday evening, the businessman’s belongings were found lying near the pond. His family had registered a missing report. Due to the suspicion of jumping into the pond, the police conducted a search through divers and the body was recovered. At present, after registering a case and conducting a post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the family. The entire incident will be revealed only after the statements of the family members. ASI Ramashankar Khare said that Shankar Golani, son of Tikamdas Golani (42), lived in New Aramsheen Road Bairagarh. He worked as a broker in the oil business. Shankar left home without informing anyone on Tuesday morning, but did not return. When he could not be contacted, the family started searching, but nothing was found. At around 5 pm, Kohefija police received information that a two-wheeler, purse and other documents were lying near the Karbala pump house. These documents belonged to Shankar Golani, but his whereabouts were unknown. On this, the family members had lodged a missing report of Shankar. Fearing that he might have jumped into the pond, the police started searching with the help of divers from Wednesday morning itself. After a lot of effort, his body was found near the pump house in the afternoon amidst the water hyacinth.
