New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) Outperforming its previous record, Goa Shipyard Ltd (GSL) achieved a growth of 100% in gross revenue in financial year 2023-24 and surpassed Rs 2,000 crore mark for the first time.
During its 58th annual general meeting (AGM) held on Wednesday, GSL Chairman and Managing Director Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay highlighted that the company achieved the highest-ever revenue from operations of Rs 1,753 crore in FY24.
The company’s Profit Before Tax reached Rs 365 crore in FY24, reflecting an increase of 78% over last year. Profit After Tax of the company stood at Rs 271 crore in FY24 compared to Rs 155 crore in the previous year.
Upadhyay informed that the order book position of GSL stood at Rs 18,562 crore as on 31 Mar 2024, giving stable revenue visibility for the coming years.
The CMD further said that GSL is presently executing multiple contracts, comprising of total 22 platforms, highest in the history of GSL, notably among them are 2 Advanced Frigates and 7 NGOPVs for Indian Navy, 2 PCVs and 8 FPVs for Indian Coast Guard and 1 Floating Dry Dock for Sri Lanka Navy.
