CCTV cameras should be installed compulsorily at tableau pandals and Garba venues: Police Commissioner

Bhopal: In view of peace in the city and security arrangements for the general public during the upcoming festival Durga Utsav / Navratri festival, a joint meeting of police and administrative officers was held by Police Commissioner Shri Harinarayanchari Mishra in the Commissioner’s Office Auditorium this afternoon.

Bhopal city Qazi Shri Syed Mushtaq Ali Nadvi, Additional Police Commissioner Shri Awadhesh Goswami, Deputy Commissioner of Police Shri Riyaz Iqbal, Deputy Commissioner of Police Shri Sanjay Agarwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police Shri Jitendra Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of Police Shri Sanjay Singh and all Deputy Commissioners of Police and officials of Hindu Utsav Samiti, officials of Shanti Samiti, Durga Utsav Samiti and organizers/patrons of Ram Barat/Dussehra procession/Ravan Dahan/Jhanki procession, DJ operators, Garba organizers, zonal officers of PWD, MPEB and Municipal Corporation, officials of the mosque committee falling on the procession route and all additional Deputy Commissioners of Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police and police station in-charges were present in the said meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Police Commissioner Shri Mishra said that Navratri and Dussehra festival are major festivals celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm in the city. During this time, a large number of people from the city and other cities and towns come to the tableau sites and Garba sites to enjoy the festival.
