New planning will be done for entire Arera Hills area

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that holistic planning should be done for the purpose of construction of buildings in accordance with the current requirements for offices in the entire Arera Hills area including Satpura-Vindhyachal Bhawan area. Metro facility is also going to be available in the area, along with this the road network is also getting better. Therefore, keeping in mind the convenience of employees and common citizens, the infrastructure of the area should be developed while ensuring the facility of walk to work to the work places. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was taking a meeting in the ministry regarding the projects of the Public Works Department. New Chief Secretary Anurag Jain attended the CM’s meeting for the first time. Indore’s Eastern Bypass project and pothole free road campaign were also discussed in the meeting.

3652 complaints resolved through Lok-Path App

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the implementation of Eastern Bypass project in Indore should be done by taking the farmers and residents of the area into confidence. The scheme should be implemented while ensuring the benefit and interest of the local people in the development of the area. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that work should be done by adopting latest technology in road maintenance. It was informed in the meeting that in the special campaign run for road repair in the state from 7 August to 6 September, 35 thousand 995 kilometers of roads were repaired by the Chief Engineer, Roads and Bridges. 46 thousand 516 kilometers of roads are registered in the Lok-Path App operated by the common citizens for complaining about potholes in the roads. In the last 2 months, 3 thousand 721 complaints have been received in the app, out of which 3 thousand 652 complaints have been resolved.

Notice to 15 executive engineers and 156 contractors

Show cause letters were issued to 15 executive engineers and notices were issued to 156 contractors regarding the condition of roads and 9 contractors’ amount of Rs. 73 lakh 30 thousand was confiscated and their registration was blacklisted. In the campaign, MP Road Development Corporation took back toll rights from investors on three routes of OMT scheme. Penal action was taken against the contractors and a penalty of more than one crore 30 lakh rupees was imposed. Road Development Corporation also issued show-cause notices to 17 contractors and 6 officers for not maintaining the road properly.

Roads will be strengthened by white topping

In the meeting, it was informed that a pilot project of white topping work is being taken on 41 selected asphalted roads in 21 districts of the state. Under white topping, 6 to 8 inches thick concrete work is done on asphalted roads.
