Pucca shops coming in way of Bhopal Metro to be removed soon

Bhopal: The 10-day deadline given to remove the permanent shops coming in the way of the second phase of Bhopal Metro will end tomorrow (Tuesday), but the shops have not been removed yet. Due to this, the administration will demolish them. Action can begin once again from Wednesday.

The second phase of the metro is 8.77 Km from Subhash Nagar Depot to Karond. This work will also be done in two parts. A total of Rs 1540 crore will be spent on both. Soil testing, design and other works have been done. Now the focus is on removing encroachment so that, civil works can start soon. Last week, some encroachments were removed in Pul Bogda and Azad Nagar, but 10 days were given to remove permanent shops. People themselves had agreed to remove their shops, but they did not remove them till Monday. Therefore, now the administration will take action.

Saw machines will also be removed

There are 108 saw machine and furniture traders near Pul Bogda. They will be settled in Ratibad. 6 crore rupees have been given there for other facilities like water, electricity, roads. These saw machines will also be removed soon.
