- World Anatomy Day— AIIMS makes people aware about body donation

On World Anatomy Day, the Anatomy Department of AIIMS Bhopal organized a body donation awareness program. The purpose of the program was to spread awareness about body donation and to inspire the general public for this great work.
Professor Ajay Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal said that body donation is not just a personal decision, but it is a big donation towards the society. It is very important for medical education and research. We all should come forward and take an oath to donate our bodies. At the same time, Colonel Dr. Ajit Kumar, Deputy Director of AIIMS Bhopal said that body donation is not only a precious contribution in the medical field, but it is also a symbol of deep sensitivity towards the society. MBBS students explained the importance of body donation in the study of anatomy through a theatrical presentation. A walkathon was also organized. In this, students prepared boards with slogans written on them to increase awareness about body donation.
Organ donation awareness campaign in MANIT too
AIIMS Bhopal on Tuesday organized an organ donation awareness campaign in Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT). Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal Prof. Dr. Ajay Singh said, through the program, people were informed about who can donate organs, how donation can be done, and to whom organs can be donated. Many experts of AIIMS shared their views in the program, among them Dr. Mahendra Atlani, Head of Nephrology Department, discussed the importance of organ donation. Assistant Professor Dr. Nikita Srivastava gave a presentation on the topic of organ donation ‘gift of life’ and Additional Professor Dr. Yogesh Nivaria highlighted its importance in the brain dead and organ donation process. In the end, Additional Professor Dr. Sunina Tejpal answered the questions of the participants.
At the end of the program, the participants pledged to increase their awareness about organ donation and inspire the society towards this noble work.
