Dalit girl raped on pretext of taking her for a stroll

Bhopal: A case has come to light of a Dalit girl living in Berasia area being kidnapped, raped and insulted with casteist words. Police have registered a case against 2 people including the minor who committed the rape. Both the accused are absconding since the incident and are being searched for.

Police station in-charge Arun Kumar Sharma said that an 18-year-old Dalit girl living in the area had disappeared from her home three days ago without informing anyone. When she could not be found even after searching, her family members had lodged a missing report at the police station. The next day when the girl returned to her home, the police found her and recorded her statement. The girl told that a youth from the same village, Rohit, had called her on pretext of taking her for a stroll and his minor friend had raped her. Actually, all three are from the same village. The girl was friends with Rohit. On October 13, Rohit had called the girl to meet him. When the girl reached, Rohit’s friend was also with him. Both of them took her along on the pretext of taking her for a stroll and the minor boy raped the girl in a deserted area. After that, both of them threatened to kill her if she told anyone and insulted her by using casteist slurs.

When the police registered a case against the accused and started looking for them, both of them had disappeared from their homes. Efforts are being made to arrest them.

Brother-in-law raped woman by threatening her

Govindpura police has registered a case of physical abuse against her brother-in-law on the report of a woman. Meanwhile, a case of molestation of a girl has come to light in Chhola Mandir area. According to the police, the 25-year-old woman living in the area is a housewife, while her husband is a private businessman. For the last three months, the brother-in-law was sexually abusing the woman by threatening to kill the children.

On Tuesday, the victim informed her family about the incident. After that, the family took her to the police station, where the victim registered a case of physical abuse against her brother-in-law.

Meanwhile, Chola Mandir police has registered a case of molestation against a youth named Nandu alias Mansingh on the report of a girl. Actually, the youth and the girl were friends earlier. Mansingh wanted to marry the girl, but the girl was not ready for marriage. On this, he threatened that he would not let her marry any other youth. Recently, when the girl’s family fixed her marriage, Mansingh came to know about this.

Angered by this, Mansingh started defaming the girl, due to which her relationship broke. Troubled, the victim went to the police station and registered a case against the accused.

Chain looted from elderly woman

In Bairagarh area on Tuesday night, two miscreants on a bike snatched the gold chain from the neck of an elderly woman going on a scooter and fled towards Lalghati. Before looting the chain, the miscreants had taken out the glasses of the woman. Police have registered a case against the unknown robbers. The miscreants are being searched on the basis of CCTV cameras and their appearance.

According to the police, Asha Sadhwani (60) lives in Shrishtishree Apartments in Vijay Nagar Lalghati and is a housewife. On Tuesday, she had gone to Bairagarh Market with her sister Sangeeta Peshwani on her scooter to shop. At around 7:30 pm, both the sisters were returning home on the scooter. Asha was sitting behind on the scooter. As soon as the two reached in front of Sharma Vishnu Food Corner on the main road, two boys on a motorcycle approached them. The youth sitting behind on the bike reached near Asha and took out her glasses and then snatched the gold chain from her neck.

After snatching the chain, both the miscreants fled towards Lalghati at a fast pace. While snatching, the gold pendant attached to the chain fell there. The miscreants are being searched on the basis of their appearance.

2-wheelers including battery stolen from dumper

Battery was stolen from a dumper in Misrod area. Two-wheelers were stolen from many areas. According to the police, Soheb Ahmed had parked his dumper near Parmar Pump. During the night, someone stole the battery of the dumper worth Rs 20,000. Similarly, the bikes of Babban Yadav from Govindpura Market, Indrajit Khade from Shivnagar slum Piplani, Mohammad Shakir from near Jayshree Hospital at Rethghat Talaiya, Jagdish from Gaurishankar Complex Katara Hills, Jasdeep Singh from Sehore Naka Kalari Bairagarh and Harinarayan Gurjar from Berasia were stolen.
