BJP releases candidate list for UP and Rajastan Assembly bypolls

New Delhi, Oct 24 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday released a list of seven candidates for Uttar Pradesh and one for Rajasthan for the upcoming Assembly bypolls.

The BJP has fielded Ramvir Singh Thakur from Kundarki, Sanjeev Sharma from Ghaziabad, Surendra Diler from Khair (SC), and Anujesh Yadav from Karhal. For the Phulpur seat, the BJP has nominated Deepak Patel.

Dharmraj Nishad will contest from Katehari, while Suchismita Maurya has been nominated for the Majhawan seat.

The bypolls were necessitated after nine MLAs vacated their seats following their election to the Lok Sabha, while one bypoll is being held due to the disqualification of an MLA.

In Rajasthan, BJP has fielded Karilal Nanoma from Chorasi seat. With this, the party has declared candidates on all seven assembly seats going to bypolls in the state on November 23.
