- Lays foundation of 5 govt nursing colleges
Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday gave big gifts to the people of Madhya Pradesh by inaugurating three government medical colleges and laying the foundation stone of 5 government nursing colleges. PM Modi joined the program organized on this occasion through virtual medium, while Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was present in Neemuch on this occasion. During this, Modi also transferred an amount of Rs 1624 crore to the accounts of 81 lakh farmers of the state through a single click.
The Prime Minister inaugurated government medical colleges built at a cost of Rs 961 crore in Neemuch, Mandsaur and Seoni of Madhya Pradesh, all three colleges will have 100 MBBS seats each. Apart from this, he also laid the foundation stone of 5 nursing colleges to be built in Shivpuri, Ratlam, Khandwa, Rajgarh and Mandsaur.
ESIC Hospital in Indore upgraded
Apart from this, Modi also inaugurated the expansion of medical services and Jan Aushadhi Kendra in many AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) hospitals of the country including Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, the Employees State Insurance Corporation-ESIC Hospital in Indore was also upgraded to a 300-bed hospital. Modi, who joined virtually, while addressing the countrymen on this occasion said that the healthier the citizens of a country, the faster will be the pace of progress of that country.
Modi also launched the ‘U-WIN’ portal on this occasion. This will make the vaccination process digital, which will benefit pregnant women and infants. He also launched a portal for allied and healthcare professionals and institutions. It will be a centralized database for existing healthcare professionals and institutions.
On this occasion, in the main program organized in Neemuch, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said, ‘The students of this medical college of Neemuch will earn a name all over the world in the field of medicine, such are my best wishes.’ Apart from the CM, Deputy Chief Ministers Jagdish Deora and Rajendra Shukla, Cabinet Minister Nirmala Bhuria and other dignitaries were also present in the program.
