Three women who stole gold arrested from Rajasthan

Bhopal: Three women who stole gold from a jeweler’s shop in Bairasia on the pretext of shopping have been arrested from Baran district of Rajasthan. Three separate police teams were deployed to search for these women. Gold worth about Rs. 5.25 lakhs has been seized from the possession of the accused.

According to the information, Dilip Namdev, a resident of Bairasia, runs a jewelry shop by the name of Kailash Narayan and Sons at the bus stand. On October 23, at around 12 noon, three-four women reached his shop posing as customers. They looked at the gold jewelry for some time and then left the shop without making any purchase. At around 5 pm, when Dilip saw, a box containing gold grains kept on the counter was missing. There were a total of 20 boxes of gold grains inside the box, which contained 65 grams of gold. When Dilip saw the footage of the CCTV cameras installed in the shop, the women were seen stealing the box.

After that, he went to the police station and registered a report of theft. The value of the stolen gold was said to be Rs. 5.25 lakhs.

Two arrested including a minor for stealing scooter

Ashbagh police has arrested two accused including a minor who stole a scooter parked in front of a house. A stolen scooter has been seized from the arrested accused. A partner of the miscreants was already arrested with a knife in a case of extortion. According to the information, Sanjeev Sharma, a resident of Purana Subhash Nagar Ashbagh, runs a ration shop. He had parked his scooter in front of the house, when unknown persons stole it. When the scooter was not found even after searching, he went to the police station and lodged a report of theft. On Friday, information was received from an informer that two boys were breaking the number plate of a red colored scooter near Hariram Ki Bagiya at Prabhat Chauraha.

When the police team reached the spot, both the boys tried to run away but were caught after being surrounded. During interrogation, one of the youths told his name as Tausif alias Ayan (18) resident of Jahangirabad near Badwali Masjid. His companion is a minor. On being brought to the police station and questioned, both of them told that a day before, they had stolen the said scooter from in front of a house in old Subhash Nagar along with their friend Farhan Khan.
