Bhopal: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav performed Govardhan Puja with rituals in the cow-shed at CM’s residence on Saturday. CM Dr. Yadav prayed for the prosperity of the entire state. Govardhan Puja programmes were organised by the government across the state.
CM instructed to organise Govardhan Puja programmes at the government level. The tradition of Govardhan Puja on the second day of Diwali is very ancient. Govardhan and cow are worshipped symbolically. In fact, it is also a festival to worship nature. There is a rich tradition of Govardhan Puja in folk life, special efforts were made by the government this year to make the younger generation aware of it.
Subsequently, CM also spent some time with the cows in the Cow-Shed located at the CM’s residence. He fed jaggery, sweets , etc to the cows.
