- Founder’s Day to be celebrated annually on November 3: Director
Bhopal, The Bal Bhavan School commemorated its 50th anniversary with grandeur and heartfelt enthusiasm. This milestone was marked by a special alumni reunion, an event of joyous nostalgia that reunited former students and teachers, bridging generations through shared memories and deep gratitude for the mentors who shaped their paths.
Alumni from Around the World Join
The morning session unfolded in traditional classrooms, where alumni from decades past shared fond recollections and life experiences with present-day students and faculty. Among the distinguished attendees were Neeraj Saxena from the 1993 batch, now based in Africa; Dr. Pankaj Manoria; Mrs. Sumbul Khan from the 2005 batch, residing in Sharjah; and Mrs. Haya Arif from the 2011 batch, now in London.
These alumni, participating through video conferencing, added a special touch to the event. During this auspicious gathering, the school’s director, Mr. Umar Farooq Ali, announced that November 3rd would henceforth be celebrated annually as the Foundation Day of the school.
Sports Competitions Bring New Energy
Following the morning reflections, a lively series of sporting competitions took place, filling the grounds with a vibrant spirit of youthful vigor. Students eagerly demonstrated their talents in table tennis, running, and archery, while alumni enjoyed reminiscing about their own youth and drew inspiration from the current students’ enthusiasm.
Vibrant Cultural Performances
The day’s second chapter commenced at a nearby hotel, featuring an array of spirited cultural performances. Bal Bhavan’s Director, Omar Farooq Ali, inaugurated the event with a moving address, tracing the school’s remarkable journey over the years. The occasion was further graced by the launch of a book authored by Sikandar Malik, a tribute chronicling Bal Bhavan’s storied history and accomplishments, connecting the new generation to their alma mater’s legacy.
Heartfelt Conversations with Teachers
Noteworthy attendees included former principals Mr. H.L. Chopra, Dr. Sharma, and Mrs. Verma, as well as current principal Mrs. Humaira Arif and vice-principal Ms. Anubha Mishra. These esteemed educators, along with retired faculty, were honored for their invaluable contributions, and their presence evoked heartfelt reminisces.
The celebration concluded with a series of captivating cultural performances. IIn the closing session, the credit for making this entire event successful was given to Bal Bhawan’s Deepak Rajani, Priyanka Gogia, Aamir Ali, Mansi Jain, Tanvi Jain, Sameer Khan, all the people appreciated the entire team.
