2-year-old girl dies after consuming poisonous pill

Bhopal: A 2-year-old girl of a family engaged in cleaning for Diwali picked up a poisonous pill lying on the ground. When her health deteriorated, the family took her to the hospital for treatment, where she died during treatment. The police registered a case and after conducting a post-mortem, handed over the body to the family. The matter is being investigated.

Gunga police station in-charge Harishankar Verma said that Sanjay Shakya, who lives in village Junapani, is a farmer. On October 30, he was cleaning the house with his family. During this time, the poisonous pill kept on the loft of the house fell on the ground. During the work, Sanjay’s 2-year-old daughter Niharika Shakya was also playing there. She picked up the pill lying on the ground and took it out. After some time, her health suddenly deteriorated, so the family took her to a nearby hospital for treatment. Due to no improvement in her condition, she was admitted to Hamidia Hospital on November 1, where the girl died during treatment on November 4.

Youth and buffalo die due to car collision

In Nazirabad area, a speeding car hit a young man and his buffalo walking on foot, due to which both died. The car that hit them has been seized and a case has been registered against the driver.

Police station in-charge Krishna Singh Thakur said that Om Prakash Rao (25) lived in village Badli police station Nazirabad. Apart from farming, he also reared cattle. On Tuesday evening, he was returning home on foot with his buffaloes. At around 6:30 in the evening, a speeding car coming from behind hit Om Prakash and a buffalo. Seriously injured Om Prakash was taken to the government hospital in Berasia for treatment, where doctors declared him dead. Police registered a case and after conducting the post-mortem, handed over the body to the family.

133 crimes revealed from 154 criminals, goods worth Rs 32 lakh recovered

GRP is running a special campaign to stop incidents of theft and robbery with passengers in railway stations and moving trains and to catch the criminals. In the month of October, 10 police stations of GRP unit have arrested a total of 154 criminals under the special campaign. A total of 133 crimes were revealed from these criminals and goods worth more than Rs 32 lakh were recovered.
