- With Retail Management Lab Visit
Bhopal: On 6th November 2024,the Department of Commerce of Sant Hirdaram Girls College organized a visit for 40 students of BBA to Retail management lab at Demonstration MultipurposeSchool, Bhopal. The visit focused on an immersive learning experience aimed at bridging the gap between academic concepts and real-world retail operations.
The visit aims to provide its students with practical exposure in business management, especially in the rapidly evolving retail industry. During the visit, the students toured the state-of-the-art Retail Management Lab, which offers a simulated retail environment where students apply key business concepts such as inventory management, customer service, sales strategies, and merchandising.
Principal, Dr. Dalima Parwani stated that we are excited to offer our students this unique opportunity to engage with a real-world retail environment.Such visits shall serve as an ideal platform for our students to understand the complexities of the retail industry and gain hands-on experience that will prepare them for their future careers.
The students were guided through the various sections of the lab, including the mock store setup, visual merchandising stations, and inventory management systems. They had the chance to interact with faculty and students involved in the lab’s day-to-day operations, gaining insights into the skills needed to succeed in the competitive retail sector.
The visit was a great success, with Sant Hirdaram Girls College students expressing enthusiasm for the hands-on learning they experienced. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to educational excellence and workforce readiness, helping students build confidence and industry-specific skills as they move toward their careers.
