Bhopal: Under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology organized the Forensic Update VII program on Monday. In collaboration with the ESCMID Study Group of Forensic and Post-Mortem Microbiology (ESGFOR), a hands-on workshop on post-mortem microbiology was also conducted. Over 90 delegates participated in this two-day event. The objective of the workshop was to enhance knowledge and practical skills in the crucial area of microbiology in post-mortem investigations.
Prof. Singh participated as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the event. He emphasized the advancements in forensic medicine and the contributions of microbiology in post-mortem investigations. The workshop provided participants with an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the latest techniques and practices in forensic microbiology, particularly in cases related to complex causes of death. In his address, Prof. Singh highlighted the need for continuous education and training in the field of forensic science. He congratulated the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology for organizing this important event and appreciated the collaboration with ESGFOR.
