Bhopal: The Government of India has declared the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of wheat for the year 2025-26 at Rs 2425. This is Rs 150 more than last year. Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput has urged the farmer brothers to sow wheat in as much area as possible and get a fair price for their produce with the increased MSP.
For the Rabi marketing year 2025-26, the department has now started preparations for wheat procurement from farmers at the support price. Under this, arrangements are being made for gunny bags for wheat procurement, storage, transportation. Also, mechanized cleaning arrangements will be made at the centres for wheat procurement of FAQ standards prescribed by the Government of India. Surveyors will be given intensive training for testing the quality of wheat.
