- Investigation team reached the spot and made a panchnama

The forest department found a tiger dead near Datni pond in Gopalganj circle of the district at around 3 pm on Wednesday evening. After this, the investigation team reached the spot and did the punchnama action. The postmortem of the tiger’s body was conducted on Thursday. At present, the cause of the tiger’s death is not known.
DFO HS Mishra of South Territorial Forest Division says that an adult male tiger was seen near Datni pond and RF 12 forest in Gopalganj beat under Seoni forest range on Wednesday afternoon. The tiger was panting while roaming near the pond and grazing land. Seeing the villagers gathering to see the tiger, the forest personnel informed the senior officials about it. After this, the animal doctor and rescue team of Pench Tiger Reserve were called. So that the tiger could be rescued and kept safe. On receiving the information, DFO HS Mishra, along with other departmental officials reached the spot.
