Indore, Nov 15 (UNI) After his brilliant show with the ball, Mohammad Shami is now impressed with the bat for Bengal against Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group C match here on Friday.
Following his four wickets, Shami smashed a quick-fire 37 off 36 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes to provide a much-needed boost to the visitors.
Writtick Chatterjee (52) and Wriddhiman Saha (44) also chipped in with useful runs to help Bengal post 276 in their second innings.
Chasing 338 to win, Madhya Pradesh, in their second innings, were 150/3 at stumps on Day 3. Shami, Rohit Kumar and Shahbaz Ahmed bagged one wicket each.
Earlier, after posting 228 in their first innings, Bengal bundled out MP for 167.
