Bhopal: As the second half of November unfolds, Bhopal and other parts of Madhya Pradesh are experiencing a drop in temperatures. The chilly weather has arrived, with temperatures dipping, especially at night and in the early mornings. According to the Meteorological Department, a sharper fall in mercury levels is expected in the coming days, adding to the winter chill that has already set in.
While daytime temperatures remain mild in the city, making heavy woolens unnecessary, the cooler nights and mornings have prompted residents to pull out their winter wear. A nip in the air is evident, and residents can now be seen bundling up after sunset. Woolen shops and roadside vendors selling sweaters, scarves, and blankets are setting up across the city, catering to an increasing number of buyers looking to stay warm.
The onset of cold weather marks a seasonal shift for Bhopal and the region, with residents gearing up for colder days ahead as winter settles in across Madhya Pradesh.
Pachamarhi coldest at 7
The temperature in Pachmarhi has reached 7 degrees Celsius. Whereas a drop in temperature has been observed in other places including Mandla.
However, cold may increase in many areas. Light fog is visible at night in most of the districts. Fog is also seen in the morning. A drop of up to two degrees in the temperature of Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain and Gwalior has been predicted. The effect of cold may increase more in the northern part of the state today.
