New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday commended the Indian Air Force (IAF) for its dedication and professionalism in safeguarding the Nation’s Sovereignty.
Addressing the Air Force Commanders’ Conference (AFCC) at the Air Headquarters here, he expressed confidence in the IAF’s ability to adapt to evolving challenges.
An official statement said, the Defence Minister exhorted Commanders and senior officials of the Defence Ministry to look at means to make the process of capability and capacity building more efficient and effective, in keeping with the national aims and aspirations.
The conference was attended by Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Anil Chauhan, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary (DDR&D) and Chairman DRDO Samir V Kamat, Secretary (Defence Production) Sanjay Kumar and senior commanders of the Indian Air Force.
Rajnath was also briefed on the operational capabilities of the IAF.
The ongoing conference has witnessed in-depth discussions on key operational, administrative, and strategic issues. The apex leadership also interacted with the CDS, Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of the Naval Staff to foster synergy.
This conference serves as a vital platform for the IAF’s senior leadership to deliberate on current challenges and strategise future actions to maintain operational excellence and Atmanirbharta in defence capabilities.
