Illuminating every corner with skill
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, ITI was established in those 22 development blocks of the state, where there was no facility earlier. This not only provided technical training to the youth of the state, but also enhanced their employment opportunities. Now the number of government ITIs in the state has increased to 290, which reflects the Chief Minister’s foresight towards education and employment.
Modern curriculum: A result of the Chief Minister’s vision
Keeping in mind the changing times and market needs, the Chief Minister started new courses like Electric Vehicle Mechanic, Solar Technician and Food Production. These courses are making the youth proficient in future technologies and giving them direct entry into the industries.
New revolution in green skilling
Under the environment-friendly vision of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, ITI of Dewas, Dhar and Chhindwara were developed as Green Skilling Centres. Here the youth are getting training in solar technology and electric vehicles. Dr. Yadav ensured that skill development provides employment along with environmental protection.
“Sikho-Kamao” Yojana
The Mukhya Mantri Sikho-Kamao Scheme reflects the visionary approach of the state government, aiming to provide professional experience along with employment to every youth. This year, over 24,000 establishments participated in the scheme, benefiting more than 22,000 young individuals through hands-on training. The scheme not only offers a source of income to the youth but also equips them with industry-ready skills, preparing them for a brighter future in the workforce.
Chief Minister’s innovation in technical education
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has established 4 Centres of Excellence in the state in collaboration with IIT Delhi. Advanced courses like Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Virtual Reality are being taught in these centres. This initiative is a major step towards connecting the youth of the state with future technologies.
Women empowered with new strength
The Chief Minister partnered with UN-Women to make women proficient in STEM and soft skills. Through this initiative, women in tribal dominated districts are not only finding new dimensions of employment, but are also becoming an example of self-reliance.
A period of respect and inspiration
It is the result of the efforts of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav that two training officers of Bhopal Divisional ITI were awarded the National Teacher Award. Also, the creation of mascots “Daksh” and “Hunar” infused new inspiration among the youth.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav believes that every youth has immense potential, which can be realized by giving the right direction, resources and opportunities. Under his leadership, the state did not limit skill development to training only, but made it the basis of the path to employment and self-reliance.
Success of ODOP
Under the ‘One District-One Product’ scheme in Madhya Pradesh, one major product has been promoted in every district, giving special opportunities to small and medium entrepreneurs of the state. The scheme has given recognition to local products in national and international markets in various districts. This is not only boosting the economy of the state, but is also providing self-employment opportunities to lakhs of youth.
The Madhya Pradesh government has taken unprecedented steps in the field of skill development and employment generation in a year, creating new opportunities for the youth of the state. On 5 December 2024, the Government Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skills Park (SSR-GSP) signed a historic MoU with IIT Delhi and IIT Ropar, after which the students studying in GSP will get better training and placement opportunities at the national and international level. Apart from this, an 18-member team of GSP faculty took training at ITEES, Singapore, which will implement global standards of technical education in the state.
Under the Yuva Sangam Maha-Abhiyan, a “Prachar Rath” will travel to various districts of the state, which will give information to the youth about self-employment, employment and skill development schemes. The importance of skill development will be conveyed to the people through this campaign.
New chapter of employment fairs
540 job fairs were organised by the Directorate of Employment across the state in the last one year, in which 61 thousand 114 applicants received employment offer letters. Apart from this, 701 career counseling sessions were organised under the Career Counseling Scheme, which provided guidance to 33 thousand 840 youth.
Employment fairs, apprenticeship fairs and self-employment fairs are being jointly organised at every district headquarters of the state under the Yuva Sangam programme from November 2024. Through these fairs, the youth are getting employment opportunities, training and self-employment opportunities in the private sector, which are proving to be important steps towards self-reliance and self-sufficiency for the youth of the state.
In the coming years, a Yuva Sangam programme will be organised every month at every district headquarters, in which employment, self-employment and apprentice fairs will be organised simultaneously. This initiative will not only provide employment to the youth according to their skills but will also guide them towards self-employment.
